ABOUT THE ROLE:
Primarily you will be hands on in the kitchen, setting up and running sections in the kitchen under the direction of the head chef. As a highly motivated chef, you will work with the head chef giving input on menus and current culinary trends, preparing food to the very highest standard of quality, and presentation consistently.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery are essential and Food Safety are preferred
- Minimum 4 years’ experience within a hotel, gastro pub or high volume a la carte restaurant in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and a high level of professionalism in the workplace and an ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience in delivering modern Australian Cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
- Able to run a service in the absence of the Head Chef.
